It is compulsary for drivers of all motor vehicles to have a breathalyser kit in their vehicle whilst travelling in France. Drivers who do not have a breathalyser kit in their vehicle will be fined an on the spot fine of 11€. The breathalyser has to be certified by the french authorities showing an NF number.
