How it works
1. Meal entitlements are loaded onto your card or Disney band.
You will receive a number of Disney Dining Plan entitlements based on the Disney Dining Plan you have purchased and the number of nights you are staying.
2. You simply touch your card or Disney band to the magic point when you make a purchase.
When you are purchasing food at Walt Disney World Resort let the Disney Cast Member know that you have a Disney Dining Plan; they will show you how to scan your card or Disney band and you will pay for your meal or snack with your Disney Dining Plan entitlements.* We recommend making dining reservations for table service restaurants - reservations can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit!
3. You'll get a receipt from the server with your updated balance.
Your card or Disney band electronically keeps track of your meal entitlements. Your meal receipt will detail the number of dining entitlements that you have remaining, allowing you to keep track of your balance as you go.
*Please note that gratuities aren't included.
Top Tips
Reservations are recommended! Character Dining and Signature Restaurants can book up very quickly, but you can make reservations up to 60 days prior to your visit by calling the freephone on 0800 169 0748.
If you want to eat light one day and splurge the next you can! You can use multiple meals or snacks as you like until your total number of meal and snack entitlements is finished.
Snacks are available at Quick-Service restaurants and outdoor food carts throughout Walt Disney World Resort, including popcorn, ice cream, fresh fruit and drinks.
Self-service meals are perfect for a quick meal in the Parks or for casual dining, whereas water service meals are great when you'd prefer to relax over your meal.
Signature Restaurants require the redemption of 2 waiter service meals per guest.
Dining Plans are not available for guests under the age of 3, but they are able to share from an adult plate at no charge, or a separate meal may be purchased from the menu.
